Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

I do not usually comment on many chain restaurants but this one in particular is a pearl.

Wife wanted to go to Swiss Chalet for dinner. We get to the door and there is a hand write sign. "We do not accept BMO debt or Credit Cards" As we did not have any cash on us we left disappointed wondering why. We chat about it and then decided it does not make sense. So we decided to go to Safeway do our shopping get money from the BMO bank machine and head back to find out why. We asked the young girl why and she had to think for awhile and said it just will not work with our machines...lame answer. We had a great meal and service just the fact this place will not take our bank cards we likely not be back as all other places do.Also notice they promote a card from another bank so one has to wonder if that is the reason for no BMO and also if is legal for them to decline one card over another. Just saying

Serving size was small and to get enough you had to order extras which made the price go up! The building was clean and orderly and had a good atmosphere.

Having been here a couple of times before we enjoyed a very fine meal as well as the relaxed atmosphere. Parking is out front atmosphere and plenty full.

We walked into the restaurant and it did not appear overly busy. We have been here before and everything was great but this time was a shock. We were greeted with if you want white meat chicken it will be a 20 minute to half an hour wait. If you came to try our new chicken dish it will be thirty minutes or more. It set such a negative tone the way it was put across we just left. This is the second evening this type of thing has happened so i think we will just look at coming for lunches if at all.
