Every visit to this restaurant is consistently wonderful. We prefer to sit in the back room and savor our meal. The seafood is always incredibly fresh, and their tempura dishes are unbeatable.
We absolutely adore the main restaurant and are thrilled to have a mini restaurant close to our house. The food is delicious and the staff was very friendly towards our children. The menu may be different from the city restaurant but it is just as delicious!
Let's go to The Hunt: the food was terrible, disgusting, and the all-you-can-eat option was not worth it. The staff seemed uninterested and the prices were the same as they would be at the original O-Sho restaurant by the Oldman River, where you would get a really great meal. It's surprising that such bad food could be served, especially under the O-Sho name, which is known for superb sushi in Lethbridge. The person at the counter was too busy on the phone to take our order, leaving us waiting for almost 10 minutes before yelling at someone about something unrelated to the restaurant. We should have left, but we stayed to see if O-Sho's reputation for great food had continued at this location. Unfortunately, we were very wrong. The sushi was awful - fishy, with stale rice and smelly Nori. It was nowhere near the quality of O-Sho in the city. I don't know what the owners were thinking when they opened this place, but it has definitely damaged the O-Sho brand. I can't see anyone wanting to come back for another round of culinary torture at this place.
I ordered the dinner for one, which included noodles, fish katsu, and beef teriyaki, paired with their famous katsu and teriyaki sauces, along with cabbage and rice. The restaurant quickly filled up, but our food was served just as swiftly. I must say, it might even be better than the downtown location! My dining companion ordered the same dinner for one, but with chicken teriyaki and potatoes instead of noodles. Both dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. I'm definitely planning to try their sushi next time! We left feeling pleasantly stuffed. The restaurant was very clean, though it doesn't have a lot of seating, as it seems to be focused on takeout. We also tried the sunomono, which consists of noodles, shrimp, and thinly sliced cucumber marinated in rice vinegar for several hours—so tasty! We'll definitely be back!
