This place should be the definition of a 'hole in the wall ' restaurant. I do inspection work which takes me all over the province. I was needing some lunch before heading out of town. Managed to catch the sign for Birdys and thought to give it a try. The chicken was tender and 'oh so flavourful '. The coating had a solid crunch to it as well. Surprisingly, the combination of the syrup and Sriracha mayo added a whole lot of depth to each bite.Next time I 'm in Lethbridge ill be trying something else off the menu.

Combined with the crisp and chewiness of the waffle with maple syrup, it’s a playful rhythm in your mouth.I had the chance to take to the owner and all ingredients are sourced locally and prepared as you order.This is definitely a place to visit whenever in Lethbridge! My only regret is I didnt order the 4pc one!

Last time we order deep fried pickle chips but they weren’t cooked all the way so they were pretty gross. They’re also pretty chinsy on their house sauce, they only give like 1 teaspoon and if you ask for more they will charge you. That’s the only thing I dislike about this place. But overall the food is pretty good here.

You have NOT had chicken and waffles until you have had Birdy’s. Fluffy waffles under the crispiest, juiciest chicken you have ever had. Coleslaw and aioli brings it all together. Eat here!

Waffles are also fantastic fluffy and crispy, although I personally prefer having my syrup on the side to keep it as crispy as possible. Coleslaw is also fresh, crunchy, and delicate. Just the right amount of creaminess without feeling too heavy.The simple menu keeps things basic and focuses on proper frying and seasoning, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. These folks really know how to fry up some tasty chicken, so I'll be looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for the delicious food!!
