Contribute FeedbackThe Fox offers a mixed bag of dining experiences, with some customers praising the lovely food, great service, and beautiful location, while others were left disappointed by limited menu options, poor service, and inedible dishes. The restaurant's accommodating attitude towards dietary restrictions was appreciated by some, while others were let down by issues with seating and music. Despite mixed reviews, The Fox seems to have potential as a charming spot for locals and visitors alike.
Whenever we drove past, we would always say, "it should be great in it." So for the birthday of my partner I arranged for us lunch in the restaurant. when we arrived, the restaurant was quiet as it was still early in the day. it was a little atmosphere, but we sat alone in the winter garden. we thought other parties would join us and make it more alive, but instead the personal filled out the restaurant that left us to it. we thought that there was something we had said! in the conservatory there was a problem with the music speakers, as they always get in and out and then were really loud. we told the waitress who was most apologetic, but who was responsible for the music didn't seem to do anything about it. it was quite annoying. they were hired when a party arrived with a baby as we wanted. it was also a shame that they had no oysters and that the waiting staff didn't know. not her fault, but the one in front of the house and the kitchen to communicate better. on the open table booking I have specified that it was a birthday and as I saw pictures of desserts with ‘Happy Birthday’ on the board that I asked on my partner. that didn't happen. a scandalous and art of the last impression of the place. that was not for the dessert of my partner. the mango parfait. frozen solid. the waitress took another and removed him from the bill. a nice gesture.
We have booked the fuchs as we had a few older people in the party that required disabled access and toilets. there is a dedicated disabled access and a proper disabled toilet, so that the entrance and exit of the restaurant to the toilet etc. was good....Menu was so varied that those of us who wanted to go on Sunday and those who wanted a la carte were all ready. we were able to bring our own cake that was brought to the table for us (without price). service and eat super. everyone enjoyed the meal would definitely recommend and return.
Today visited for sunday roasts, eat hot, terrible tasting potatoes, pick up uncooked. that is not what we are used to the fox, had better roast flours for half price. service was good.
Very disappointed. cold eating and gf gloomy..Pasnip and carrots raw. service well. they should only be credited and not cash money. hot eating would be good...cold plates.in bar area got very crowded sisters chair hit at numerous locations. parking a problem. service well.Kitchen leave them down..expected... much more than last meal so much better. a canvas
Just had lunch at The Fox Willian, food is average especially for a 2 AA rosette restaurant, menu limited and nowhere near as nice as I remember it when we visited pre covid.
