My wife just arrived at a Chateau for one wine tour and to stay overnight. At the ladt moment and after a little online research we found this restaurant. It was simply wonderful, casual and good food. Would recommend. The owner was very nice and helpful to us Australian tourists....much appreciated. View all feedback.
What Alice Valette doesn't like about La Brochetterie:
cold and noisy frame. One hour waiting to be served. The vertical presentation of the skewers prevents the person facing you....I forgot that we go to the restaurant to eat! the quality of the preparations is average. View all feedback.
Came here the first night we stayed in town. And came back the next two nights. Located in the heart of the nice small town. A charming courtyard in the back and very friendly owner and staff. Made us feel very welcome. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. The house specialty are Brochettes. Wonderful meat or/and seafood skewers. Nicely grilled and with an amazing presentation. It 's a looker. But not only does look good...it tastes great as well. Had the Brochette magret de canard (duck breast), Brochette d 'Angneau (lamb), Brochette chipirons d 'Andalouse (chipirones, poivrons, chorizo and ham), the Brochette Royale (chipirons, scallops and shrimp) and twice the Brochette de Boeuf (rumpsteak). The Steak Brochette was brillant. Juicy, tender meat of good quality. The Andalouse Brochette was a great combo. fresh squid, crunchy bell pepper, nice chorizo and ham. The Brochette Royale is great value with really nicely cooked scallops. Shrimps and Squid nice as well. A great seafood option. The lamb was another good choice. Tender, juicy, with a nice herb marinade. The one the didn 't wow us was the duck breast. For our taste a bit too on the fatty side. The fries were really good. Good sized, well spiced and hot fries. Perfect with the Brochettes. But also the potatoe gratin was wonderful. Creamy, buttery, heavy...but oh so good. They got some great wine here as well. Rosé went very well with the Brochettes. The Closerie Du Bailli was our favourite. Crème Brulée was good, but even better was the Tiramisu. A bit of twist to your original Tiramisu. But one of the best desserts we 've had in a restaurant this trip. All in all a great place to dine. Location, Friendliness, food quality, prices it 's all there. Loved dining here.
We arrived on Tuesday in September and got the last table in the restaurant. Nice atmosophere, pleasant decor and super host. This place only does French style kebabs (brochettes). They do not recycle tables, but serve only once during the lunch hour. So don't expect them to clear a previously used table if you pitch up at 14:00. It won't happen which is good for those of us who have tables because we are not rushed at all. I had a mixed seafood brochette, my wife scallop brochette. Beautifully cooked and served with elegance and panache from a hanger. Absolutely top class place. You won't have to remortgage to eat there and every dish which came out looked terrific. Well worth a visit but get there early or book a table in advance.
Very good food, profiteroles homemade. Better to reserve your table. Probably in the top 5 restaurants in lesparre.

Excellent lunch today. Tasty food, the best in lesparre. Friendly, helpful service. Good baileys for St Patrick’s Day! Looking forward to another visit when we are in the area.
