fantastic place with views of torrechiara burg, great food and friendly service. they usually cook their own products, including amazing meats from locally raised black pigs. incredible atmosphere on the hills and perfect curses from the city warm to really honest price. highly recommended. What Ivonne Lombardi doesn't like about La Longarola:
too expensive for what we have eaten, just a few beginners and a first cure. with a menu of 30 euro we have spent 47 euro, perhaps too much difference. poor service, the waiter was very rude and without reasons. we never come again. View all feedback.
Finally after so long we managed to dine in this place; expectations were found to be fair, good dishes and staff prepared

Six of us. my partner (Italian), I (English), my doctor friend his 3 children all late teens. (African/Italian). I felt an entertaining racist feeling from the beginning. at the worst table at the pick of the portico. the service was from the beginning at oor. the owner kellner seemed to be determinated. offered no advice in the menu. order pick up, but no help offered. only water available. we will not get over the fizzy water. made by a package. as 50’s italian. eating came in stages, and frankly, the first cure was ok, but nothing to write. long wait between cursing and main course for me was left. I did not complain, but was questioned by the waiter why it was left, who then gave me a proposition about itslian food in comparison to English foods. totally rude, so condescending and not necessary, as it was so vitriolic I had no chance to open my mouth. Living and Vile food.
I am here several times for Sunday dinner and every time I have left a smile on my face. eating is always excellent, the atmosphere relaxed (with lots of space for children to walk), and tommaso and his personal. are always friendly. highly recommended for a real Italian weekend lunch (or dinner) experience.
