As a family loyal to La Baratte for years, we eagerly awaited its reopening after renovation and reconstruction, perfectly complementing the beautiful landscape... read more As a family loyal to La Baratte for years, we eagerly awaited its reopening after renovation and reconstruction, perfectly complementing the beautiful landscape of the mountain pass. Our family visit this weekend completely won us over. A lovely dining room with a superb view of the Bauges mountains, friendly and efficient service, and quality Savoyard cuisine – it's a resounding success. Bravo!

This used to be my favorite Savoyard restaurant, perched high up, with a warm atmosphere, but since the renovations it feels industrial and like a cafeteria; it... read more This used to be my favorite Savoyard restaurant, perched high up, with a warm atmosphere, but since the renovations it feels industrial and like a cafeteria; it's much noisier, whereas before you couldn't hear the people next door. I thought they were expanding, not completely renovating. There's no mountain decor at all. The food is still just as good, but the atmosphere is no longer suitable. And the owner knew us, yet she didn't say a word to us as we left. A shame, and we were disappointed.
