Phenomenal. Free admission on top of the insane amount of vehicles and weapons you can see here. This museum has a huge amount of vehicles and armaments from the early 1900’s to modern day. If you are in Prague or nearby, this is definitely worth the trip, you can easily spend an entire afternoon here. You can grab a bite to eat here as well for cheap. I highly recommend visiting. There were lots and lots of tanks, a few were restored beautifully, but there was also a large group of unrestored rusting vehicles. An absolute must go if your a tank nut like me, however, for those who have no interest in tanks or warfare it would be quite a boring trip View all feedback.
The largest military museum in central Europe. Only museum outside of Israel presenting functional Merkava main battle tank.
The Military Technical Museum Lešany is a museum of military vehicles located in the Czech Republic, about 20 kilometers south of Prague. Its exposition contains over 700 historic tanks, cannons, motorcycles, armored vehicles, trucks, military passenger vehicles, missile systems and other military equipment manufactured from 1890 to the present. The Museum was established in 1996 in a former artillery barracks between the villages of Krhanice and Lešany, near Týnec nad Sázavou. The collections are presented in ten halls, six roofed areas and also in the open air. Since 2003, a so-called 'Tank Day ' is held every year at the end of the season (usually end of August/beginning of September) in the area of the museum, where many of the tanks and other military vehicles from the museum 's collection are presented in dynamic displays. The Army of the Czech Republic participates in these events, therefore current military equipment of the Czech Army can also be seen on display. There are also events at the beginning of every season (in May) which are usually dedicated to other branches of ground equipment, like Artillery day , AAA day , Tatra day , etc.

I went to Lešany tank museum for the annual tank days, and had a great time. I did not get to see many of the static displays but the ones that I did see (in particular the anti-air defense units) were in excellent condition and were awesome! The tank day itself was spectacular and is worth coming to Prague for by itself.
Based museum with a lot of tanks, solid and rare lineup and a lot more to offer. The whole thing isn't too huge and it should be one place to visit at least once. Shows you how huge some weapons really are in retrospective overall great museum 9/10
