Le Bac a sable - Les Sables-d'Olonne

Wandered down to the beach with family and grand children during the Easter break. We were delighted to find the Bac a Sable for lunch. The children's menu was fine and we indulged in the moules and a great bottle of recommended wine . Despite being busy the service was prompt and attentive.The view was terrific, and well worth it.Definitely a restaurant to try out .

It is a real pleasure to have lunch or dinner in front of the blue sea. There is nothing better in the sables d'olone than enjoying the summer breeze while eating in le bac à sable. this French restaurant has a service of the most efficient. the quality/price ratio is excellent! among the specialties stands out the sepia to the dish: it is delicious! the wine menu is very good. It's not a high-baked restaurant, but it's the best you can find in town. the terrace next to the beach and the promenade makes the atmosphere more pleasant. le bac à sable is a great place to spend a fabulous night sharing the most delicious flavors of the Loire payments.

Nice area, you are on the beach, and the food is correct. the service was a little bit slow ( 2 hours for a 3 meal lunch), and quite expensive.

The location of this restaurant is everything. Next to the beach. The service was excellent. When a better table became available the manager moved us without us even saying a word. They did this for other customers to ensure their clients were happy. The seafood was light and refreshing. The steak was fine. Desserts were wonderful. Good wine menu. A very pleasant afternoon spent at this relaxed venue.
