Giselle - the cook - is a very talented and super friendly person. The waitress who was serving us was very attentive and friendly, too. We had vegetarian meal and I was pleasantly surprised to see many interesting small dishes on my plate which in total made a really big and delicious meal. The wine was great, too. It was lovely to sit outside, the candles and music in the background made a very cosy atmosphere. Whe... View all feedback.

We took the 'formule escale' which was quite ok. The waitress is very friendly. The service is fast, even a bit too fast. We had this experience also in other places in town. Main course was already brought to our table when we had hardly finished the entree. Good price/quality. Food somewhat better than average. View all feedback.
Two of us shared a tasty charcutrie plate and green salad. Friendly service. We sat on the patio but the inside looked very pleasant. Free parking.
A fabulous dinner a mix of African and exotic . Something completely different in an area where foie gras and maigret de canard are almost on every single menu in the restaurants. Always a wonderful meal at affordable prices Giselle the owner and chef is always charming and a fantastic cook I would definitely recommend it if you wish to eat something else

My review mirrors the review of 13 September. Not quite sure where all these 5 star ratings have come from as we were served a poor excuse for a meal with African influence. Although I had reserved a table earlier in the day the person greeting us seemed surprised to see us and her service was lacking in professionalism. We like to try different types of restaurant, maybe to find a new favourite, but this is not it!
We visited this restaurant with a small group of friends, they have a choice of vegetarian meals, which are just wonderful. A vegetarian choice is rare in Perigord as the local cuisine is very meat based.Gisele the owner and chef of the restaurant is an artist with food, she manages to compose flavours in such a way that it's just sublime! The night we were there we had quite a choice of plates, the prices are very, very reasonable. The vegetarian plate was only 13 Euro! And it was a really hearty meal!We found out that Gisele is also a farmer and raises her own chickens and ducks, so the meat is without chemicals, steroids or hormones. The cous cous is amazing, accompanied with various meats. For desert I recommend the cafe gourmand, which is an espresso with five different small cakes surrounding the coffee cup, although the other desserts are also magical!I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, service and atmosphere - we will definitely be returning time and time again.
