The old m... read more We have now tasted many restaurants in the region, from sublime to very authentic, passing by the very good tourist too expensive and not well cooked. The old mills surpass them all. nestled on the riverside is this lovely restaurant. very authentically French to the old in its decor - as we love it! the dining room is surrounded by beautiful furniture and carillonnant clock, perigord fireplace and exposed beams. There are also two outdoor terraces for dinner in the summer. It is a very popular restaurant, so even if the service is good and friendly, I would book for 7:30 to get a faster service. there is a delicious menu on the menu - my favorite being the hot crisp salad in the entrance or the pigeon, the lobsters or the really tasty beef filet. all accompanied by foie gras! but the menus are good too. twice I had the fixed menu at 37 euros and I had cream marinated trout and lemoned herb dressing, and a very tasty duck magret with caramelized carrots and crispy rice with cream, followed by a gratin of strawberries. all very delicious! No doubt, we'll go to the virgin mill again and again! We've been there four times in six weeks! Unfortunately, it is now closed for winter.

It's not the fault of the restaurant, just our bad luck.

I still remember dessert in the caramelized pineapple; My partner always talks about champagne foie gras. We fell on this place inadvertently, but we would rush every time we went next to the computer. (Notice of Origin) we recalled about our trip to france more than 10 years ago, and this restaurant was an incredible food in a lovely garden setting, fantastic staff, one of those special memories we will cherish.
