I look forward to lunch here, because they have a salad bar with good choices of vegetables. There are soups and hot food to keep the others happy. You can sit in a deckchair and enjoy the view of the mountains. The staff are friendly and...relaxed. And the loo is on the ground floor! People shelter inside when the weather is poor, and there are books to read. View all feedback.
What Nathalie Blondel doesn't like about Restaurant Coquoz:
Cannot believe this restaurant can get so high reviews: the location is surely very good and probably the terrace is the only good point. Service is below any possible standard: not professional and very impolite. They are absolutely arrogant and even with an empty restaurant...they tell you all tables are reserved just to put you in the worst corner. Don’t get the logic behind (we had to share a table with other peo... View all feedback.
We’ve enjoyed all our previous visits to Coquoz both winter and summer. It’s a magical spot on the ski slopes with views across the mountains. Good food. A wide selection of Swiss wines. And generally a smile and “bonjour”. We explained our friend is...a vegetarian. The choices weren’t obvious. He asked if it was possible just to have a plate of chips and was rather sternly directed to something else. A plate of vegetables? We reassured him that the vegetables at Coquoz are cooked with a bit of imagination. At 27 Swiss francs the price was a bit of a shock. It would have required some stellar cooking to be worth that money. And it wasn’t. The other choices on the menu were much better value. Coquoz ... it’s clear you don’t have vegetarians in mind. But do you really want to make them feel unwelcome and overcharged?
We went to the self service twice in a row we enjoyed it so much. They offer a good selection of paninis and cooked food which we enjoyed from an outside table with an uninterrupted view to a whole mountain range. One to try!
