This restaurant is a great location and has plenty to do for the kids. The children portions are small and would suit children up to the age of five. They are also served in plastic bowls/plates so definitely aimed at younger children.Definitely feels like a Swiss/German influence and the sausage and chips combination was great. The other food was generally ok and the service adequate albeit slightly slow. There is a sm... Grea place to visit with kids. Fantastic location with a great view, and lot to do for kids. The food is OK, but the service is terrible. The staff is great thought and very helpful... but the owners seem to want to save money on headcounts... which reflects on the service. It took 1 hours and 40 minutes to be served... Grea place to visit with children. fantastic location with a great view, and much to do for children. the food is in order, but the service is terrible. the personal is a great thought and very helpful. but the owners seem to want to save money on. headcounts that reflects over the service. it took hours and minutes to use. I do not blame the personal definitiw as they make a great job. they run literally!. but I blame the owner who either underestimates her ability to serve such a lot of sundays. or keep it targeted to save money. which is not a good idea and lead to this review. just put a few additional employees on Sunday!
We were a party and cured (the owner) drove to our hotel in les crosets and picked us up. he brought us back after lunch! as I said, this place is nowhere in the middle, halfway away. the mountain and with a beautiful view. the restaurant was packed, and as we had booked, we had a table outside in the magnificent sunny, blue-sharp weather. we drank a mix of beer and local white wine and together with very full mountain food managed to have a very pleasant eating. it was just what we wanted and met. the staff was very friendly and efficient, btw.
This is a fabulously located restaurant. On a nice day, the views are unbeatable and the place has charm. The food on this visit was just not up to the mark. The vegetable soup that two of our party had was watery, thin, and tasteless....The restaurant menu says that Le Relais specialises in rostis. However, for such a specialist place, the two that our party ordered were both disappointing. They were greasy and arrived with very gloupy onion sauce. Good rostis should be crisp and crunchy. These were not. The salad bar was good but contained too much tinned vegetables beans, vinegared beetroot and sweet corn) for our party's liking. I had the steak du porc which was actually very nice: nice mushroom sauce and a lot of vegetables. It was only a pity that my chips (nicely cooked and fresh) only arrived once I had finished everything else. So not a great review. Great location but food could be better. Service was a bit erratic as well. Why can't lunchtime food orders arrive at the same time rather than in phases over a minute period?!!
Well its a nice place to have lunch, we stopped there a few times with a friend who visited switzerland. it is a bit expensive but well, you can't expect less in this location!
This place is an excellent spot to meet when half the group is snowshoeing and the other half are skiing! The food here is excellent with their specialty being rosti. They have alpaca outside which are cute to watch too. The view from the restaurant...is amazing especially if it is a nice clear, sunny day. This restaurant is situated above Les Crosets and if you are snowshoeing it takes about an hour and a half to reach the restaurant. It is a lovely walk up to the restaurant and the quietness and the views are fantastic throughout the walk. Definitely recommend the restaurant for a drink and food!!
