The food has moved up a... read more Normally i wouldn't review the same place twice barring a major change...However I'd like to say last night La Recreation outperformed. The food has moved up a level and the service was superb. Of particular note was the caille with foie gras. The caille was delicate and the smear of foie just enough.

The sig... read more .....but not quite up to the standard we remember. Service friendly and welcoming though there were long gaps between courses on a busy sunny afternoon. The signature lobster ravioli starter swam in a heavy sauce, a shadow of its former self. The coquilles starter was tasty but somewhat overwhelmed by the accompanying passion fruit. Tuna and bar good sized and well flavoured portions prettily plated with petals and herbs. Baked pineapple dessert unusual and palatable. And I nearly forgot the single roundel of cabecou (local goats' cheese) in perfect condition presented with a few blobs of delicious local honey.
