Cote Brune has plentifull menu with large amount of local specialities. We had racklette and hot stone.Racklette plate was plentifull with different meats and potatoes. The cheese is mild and delicious. The hot stone was excellent with three different type of meats and vegetables (and different type of sauces). The ceasar aalad was a disappointment - tasteless (no real ceasar salad dressing.) What გენადი გოგია doesn't like about Cote Brune:
The menu stated a goats cheese salad on toast. What I got was limp sliced white bread with a slice of goats cheese and a limp green salad with a few bits of tomato and was charged €17! We are regular visitors to Méribel but...I will not be going back to Cote Brune! View all feedback.
I used this restaurant regularly for lunch or hot chocolate drinks for many years. I also use it in summer. I would normally accept it 4 stars on the last two occasions where the service was not good. We were there yesterday to get a hot chocolate break and waiters ignored us. They weren't so busy. A waitress literally stood there, but did not make eye contact. When he asked a waiter, he said, "one minute." We finally gave and left without order and went to the restaurant and where we were immediately served by a friendly waiter.
AVOID!!! Mostly-empty restaurant during peak season, which should have ben a troubling sign. The manager rudely scolded our table for asking the waitress questions about the menu. The food was overpriced and high school cafeteria quality. Any other restaurant in Meribel will have better food...and management than this poorly-managed disaster.
Ordered the meats to cook on the hot stone. waiter told us that the meats were duck, beef and veal. however- on our plate we noticed that the ‘veal’ actually was very pink so we asked the waiter and he said “oh my mistake, it’s...actually chicken!”. not only getting this wrong is dangerous for allergies and food preferences but having raw chicken on our plates, cutting it up with the same cutlery we are eating with etc- it’s so dangerous and can give you food poisoning salmonella! when explaining this to the waiter he said “this is a myth you see on social media”
A chocolate 5€ will cost you 15€ without cash...in the days of contactless it's a rip-off....go next door Chrismaran!
We've come twice in this restaurant. the first time, simply to order 2 pizza to take away. We took the aeroplane while we were preparing. the boss, extremely pleasant told us to sign it when we would like to take our pizza. 4 cheeses are very tasteful, well-stocked, very good fine and crispy texture. the same according to the words of my husband (children). Following this very good welcome, we wanted to have dinner. welcome always excellent. The boss comes to ask if everything's okay. Very pleasant bosses like the first time.We have enjoyed ourselves. My daughter took a raclette with my husband. My son the child menu and I a delicious (ultra tasteful, creamy and melting) camembert hot. Copous charcuterie (possible to finish) and potatoes at will. I recommend for dessert the gourmet coffee that is it! very rich with different flavors and textures. my daughter has taken the hazelnut chocolate mousse: the typed taste would get married super well with a cabbage to make a kind of Paris-Brest minute (Epicure recommendation for the chef ;-) . I ate my son's white cheese from my child's menu: very creamy and well fresh accompanied by a very good homemade meringue because not too sweet and crunchy (my son could no longer eat even a dessert so he enjoyed his child's pizza then potatoes covered with camembert or scrape cheese with his mother and sister :-) In conclusion, you will not be disappointed! a note that the restaurant serves pancakes until 6pm.
