We were on holiday and were looking forward to having a nice leisurely meal with wine fl... read more My partner and I had booked a table for Tuesday 23rd January at 7.30pm. We were on holiday and were looking forward to having a nice leisurely meal with wine flowing. The homemade lasagnas were very good, as was the wine. The place seemed rather empty but the staff kept coming to us and asking how the food was and if everything was okay. We reassured them everything was very good. I didn’t think anything of it the first or second time I just thought they doubled up without realising. But then they kept coming back and eventually at 8.30 barely an hour after we’d sat down, they told us they needed the table back. When we protested saying no one had told us when we made the booking the night before, and their reply was that we were taking too long for 2 people to have dinner!!! They then revealed (after we’d paid) that they had a booking for 25 people and they were behind schedule, could we finish our drinks at the bar. I looked over at the bar and it wasn’t really for us, it was a small area with low metal stools that looked uncomfortable (I need support for my back). To be honest we were enjoying ourselves and still had half a Carafe of wine going. We just felt like we weren’t as important as their 25 other guests and we complained. Eventually, we were offered a free drink which we refused as a matter of principle, so we left. It was our second time there that week but sadly we’ll never go there again. The first experience was pleasant but the second was very disappointing.

On our night out as chalet staff had the day off we booked quite late for this central restaurant arriving we were offered a small table which was very near the... read more On our night out as chalet staff had the day off we booked quite late for this central restaurant arriving we were offered a small table which was very near the door. Waitress was very helpful when I requested to move further in and we were given a high table with stools quite near the bar but OK. Drinks arrived quickly after ordering we had beer as we had decided on the pizzas having looked at other diners ' choices! This turned out to be a good idea as they were large and very well made we chose basic pizza and added extras in my case extra anchovy and mozzarella and green olives were an obvious addition as they are free . The pizzas were delivered fresh out of the oven and very hot. Also hot chilli oil was offered and I put a little too much on be aware that the oil is made with VERY hot chilli. A lovely meal slightly noisy but this is as expected after apres ski
