You can go here on foot or by bike (even with a stroller if you're physically fit) from either Leermos or Ehrwald. In both cases, you have to overcome an elevation of about 500 m on an asphalt/paved road. You can also make a circuit (one way up and the other way down). Breathtaking views of the entire Zugspitze Arena with its peaks (Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze, Grubigstein and others) open up not only from the hut, but also along the way. They cook very well at the cottage, so you can look forward to a good snack after a difficult hike. From the cottage, you can continue up to the very top of Daniel 2,340 m above sea level.

Strengthened, we then continue on a steep climb towards the summit of Daniel. The view rewards every effort. For the descent I recommend the variant via the Upsspitze and the green Ups. The paths meet again at the tuftl Alm, making for a worthwhile circular route. Kid-friendliness: Lots of outdoor space, pigs and cows provide entertainment : Service: Dine in
