The pasta dishes are very tasty and full-flavored. The quality of fish is very high and you can feel it when you taste all dishes. Cakes are worthy. One little flaw: the fried mixed fishes were a bit greasy.
We had a great dinner here and loved the ambience of the place. It's like eating in a cave with all the old stonework.
We were one vegetarian, 2 non veges for lunch. Lovely service very nice food and stunning panna cotta dessert. Just exactly what we wanted.
We had a great dinner, some mussels, antipasti and we shared a gnocchi dish, 2 glasses of white wine and we paid 41 €! It is a great value in that area! Great service that ended up in a cold limoncello!
I can't think about a better place to go to eat for someone who has to eat gluten free. I went twice during my stay. Everything was gluten free, from starters to desserts, the care they take is impressive. They explained us that it's a family business and most of the family is coeliacs. I have loved trofie with pesto, fried polenta with cod and mixed grilled seafood. Simply amazing. Also the quality of the food was really good, they don't do frozen fish but only fresh. The chocolate cake was the best ever tried. Price was reasonable and service excellent. I strongly recommend C'era una volta to all coeliacs and not only!
