Apart from the usual small serving... read more After having our first drink for the evening, we were famish at 8pm. Most bars or restaurants would only serve dinner at 9pm. Apart from the usual small serving of tapas with drinks, we were pleasantly surprised that La Rinconada was ready to serve dinner. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. The bar is small and cosy with outdoor seating. It’s a popular local hangout.

M... read more We were looking for a place to have an early dinner at 8:30pm and chanced upon La Rinconada. It’s a small bar with 3 tables inside and 5 small tables outside. Many dropped by just for tapa. Food and limonada are good and typical of León.

For this tripe hater the tripe was a revelation great texture and hot spicy sauce mopped up with a crusty slice of bread. Followed by sweetbreads in a red wine? sauce followed by croquettes which were creamy slightly cheesy with hamon? Or maybe chopped chorizo. Thanks to my mate without whom I'd have never gone back to tripe. Go if you are going through Leon on your walk on the Camino unbelievably good.
