The waiter that served me o... read more Visited this restaurant today for some authentic Spanish food. When I arrived it was super busy but soon got a table on the terrace. The waiter that served me offered me the menu of the day in either English or Spanish which was nice. I opted for the mixed starter plate with bacalau (cod fish) in garlic sauce for main. I would have to say that the mixed entree as a starter had the best and tastiest empanadas and croquettas I have had since arriving in Spain. They were accompanied by gambas fritas (prawns fried) and patata fritas. All were tasty and it was a very generous serve. My main course was bacalau (cod fish) grilled and service with a garlic sauce and patatas. The fish was cooked perfectly but the dish just wasn’t to my taste but glad I tried it. A flan was offered as a postre and part of the menu if the day. All for a very good price of €17. The service was good and attentive, the meal wasn’t rushed and the food of a really good quality. Good place to try the local cuisine in León.

The scrambled egg di... read more We ordered the menu of the day for 17 euros each. Two of the menu items were unavailable, no apologies, just a dismissive wave of the hand. The scrambled egg dish with prawns was ok but salty and had about 6 tiny pieces of prawn in it. My boyfriend had a fried fish which was very thin and tasteless.Barely a mouthful of fish in amongst the bones. I sent my cod back as it wasn't cooked in the middle. Both fish came with a very small amount of chips. A small glass of wine each. Usually a whole bottle is included in the price. All done on a minimum budget. The staff were unwelcoming and not friendly. I would not recommend this cafe.

In Leon you get a tapas with your drink. We had one of the best here!
