In Spain lunch (and dinner are VERY late meals by UK, and French standards, which we didn 't mind at all as it gave us time to look around. We spotted Rua 11 and its tostada menu and liked the look but it is quite small and it was full. However half an hour later there was a space and very freindly and helpful waiters who did speak a little English and gave us an English menu (we do our best in Spanish, but it 's virtually non-existent! We chose a smoked sardine and sort of peperonata tostada (lovely rustic bread lightly toasted and one with iberico pork cheek. Both were absolutely delicious (the sardine one had the edge however and cost about E10 each (we shared . Would definitely go back if in Leon again.

Furthermore all the wines we tested were good and at a very affordable price; if you're into vermouth you're sure to find the one that will suit you among the 2OO references they've got in stock. Most important: the owner (Rubén) and the staff are lovely and will make your stay unforgettable. Next time I'm in Leon I'll drop there for sure.
