It was so good that we went back again later in our stay for an e... read more We were staying just around the corner (Hotel Tryp) and came across this restaurant for lunch. It was so good that we went back again later in our stay for an evening meal. It really is a place where the locals eat/drink with very little English spoken. Fortunately a customer helped with our translation at lunch and Google at night. The impressive thing was the helpfulness, friendliness and downright honesty of the staff. At lunch we opted for a tortilla as the main course. Asking for two we were told no, one would be plenty. And it was with some to spare after a substantial tapas selection included with our drinks. In the evening after a most magnificent plate of squid and an excellent house white wine I was told that my payment including a tip was too large and to give less. Now when does that happen? My total spend for two excellent meals for two people was 32 euros. I doubt that I will ever be in Leon again. If I am I already know where I will be eating.
