We had a delicious and fun dinner recently with our daughter, her boyfriend and his parents. We sat in the bar area which is our favorite location. I ordered the trout and was very happy as it was perfect, buttery but not overly so and cooked correctly. I lived in France with a family and the mother was a fabulous cook. This trout brought me back to living in Rouen in the 70’s and Madame’s cooking! Service was attent... View all feedback.
What Demet Haksever doesn't like about Bistro Zinc:
Our dinner order was taken after 50 minutes, later than order of people at the table next to us who came 15 minutes after us, and only with our prompting. We had wine bread while waiting but it took more than an hour for us to finally get our dinner. Food was good but not great. View all feedback.
Food is very good, well prepared, ample portions, an not that expensive. Tables are spaced so you can have a conversation and hear what is being said.
It was my first time there. The Zinc Piña Colada was very good. The fruit salad with the crispy goat cheese was amazing! It was a refreshing salad. For my entrée, I had the eggplant lasagna with spinach, cheese and marinara....verrrryyy tasty and filling. The bread with the creamy, whipped butter was so good. My boyfriend also had the fruit salad, which he liked as well. His entrée was the Chicken François. He enjoyed it. The Creme Brule is a must order. Overall...we'll be there again.
We went for lunch, and the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the French onion soup. The service was courteous and professional, and the music was kept at a low volume. We will definitely be repeat customers. Parking: There are about a dozen spots in a lot behind the restaurant. Otherwise there are a few more on the street. I imagine it might be more difficult during peak season, but we did not have trouble finding a nearby spot on the street.

Bistro Zinc was highly recommended by our hotel. We weren’t disappointed. It earned our highest praise for any restaurant “we were delighted and surprised “. Extensive classic French bistro menu . Food was excellent with generous portions. Great service and ambience.
