Nara Express - Lenoir

I called before 8:30 and they didn’t answer the phone. When I arrived, I was told they were no longer taking orders. The food is good, but the service is terrible.

I wasn't impressed. The food was just okay and rather strange. The hibachi steak lacked flavor on its own and was served with a dressing that tasted like Thousand Island. I requested extra vegetables, but they provided me with a side of veggies that seemed to be boiled in sugar water—definitely odd. Additionally, everything in the restaurant felt sticky, including the floors, tables, and railings.

The ONLY reason this got 2 stars was SOULY the TASTE OF THE FOOD!!! The prices have went up over $2 in the last year and the portions keep get smaller!!! The staff is hardly ever kind. DO NOT STOP HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE 40 MIN TO WAIT FOR A SINGLE PLATE! Not to mention they keep the phone off the hook, so good luck calling ahead for pick up..

When we ordered in the drive thru yesterday morning at lunchtime, I order a shrimp chicken combo and the owner who was at the drive thru window gave me the wrong order which I don’t really wanted and it’s supposed to come with shrimp sauce add to it (for free) on the order because I ALWAYS get combo meal with Shrimp Sauce in a container. I won’t return to this restaurant again because it’s slow and has terrible customer service

The food is good, but the service is soooo slow! The cook was in and out of the kitchen on a cell phone having a heated argument. Having to wait 45 minutes is ridiculous. Will not be going back!
