My personal favorite so far is the country fried steak and for dessert is the shoo fly pie!! Staff is very friendly and service was excellent! But seriously, my complements to the chef for the amazing food!

Save room for the delicious rotating desserts (rhubarb crumble, my favorite). The restaurant is a museum of PA Dutch culture as the former home of Johnny Ott, the great popularizer of PA Dutch barn star design. It doesn’t get more authentic than this.

Had the corn pie with chow chow and Dutch Fries. Everything was awesome. Wife had the chicken bowl with onion rings and potato fritters.She raved about her dinner. The hostess, drink server and waitress were all so sweet and polite. Got some scrapple and peppercabbage to take home. Whether you love real PA dutch cooking or regular American fare this place is truly a one of a kind gem.
