I love The Forge! My friend and I went here to see Everclear perform and had a blast. They had food trucks and we decided to get the donuts from one of them. So tasty! There is so much to do here. You can rent kayaks, canoes, bikes, go ziplining (day and night), climbing activities, walk the paths and enjoy the beautiful scenery, food options, etc. We even saw a beaver while making our way to the entrance. What Josh W doesn't like about The Foundry (at The Forge):
It was a decent day to be outside, parking was a little tough when getting there initially at around 2:00 p.m. we did notice that some of the adventure themes didn't qualify under this pass and one of the zip lines was down and another adventure was also not available. Had to wait a little bit longer than I anticipated. Pricing in general is a little bit on the high side but that's we do expect with a theme park. Def... View all feedback.
I had no idea this place existed!! It's the perfect place for people who want to do outdoorsy/naturesque things but not be completely on their own/be in a somewhat contained area. We came on a Saturday afternoon it wasn't too packed but there were definitely people around. Beautiful location and area. There is a forest preserve/fishing around the area before you enter The Forge as well as free entrance into the Forge area if you want to just walk around, you only need to pay for the pass to do the activities. Lots of foliage, water, and parking around the area and leading up to the entrance of the forge. There are a ton of things to do that are included in the pass you pay for: laser tag, archery, paddleboat/kayak, biking, scavenger hunt, kids obstacle course, dino karts and more. They also have a large performance space that looks like they use for concerts and festivals. They have a small restaurant with tables facing the water, corn hole games and bonfire options. Defintely had an enjoyable day in a place I had no idea existed. At first, I thought the prices to be a little high, but considering axe throwing (typically $30 40 alone), laser tag, boating activities, biking, scavenger hunt, etc. are included, it actually seems worth it. Would love to come back in the fall to try the activities while seeing the colors change in the trees.
Came here for the first time on an August weekend and brought a friend who had been here before. She was surprised by how empty it was for a Saturday but I cannot complain. We did not have to wait to do anything and were the first ones to kayak, second to axe throw and no waiting to do archery. This is place is awesome and lots of fun! I was also happy to see alot of restrooms all over the property and pretty decent too as far as cleanliness. I wish there were more shaded areas to sit and relax especially in the heat. We did not eat here but we brought our own water bottles which become a bit of a nuisance to carry around. The archery golf concept needs a little more planning and there needs to be an active stance on fighting the mosquitos. The staff warned us of certain areas with a lot of mosquitos. I got 12 bites in total.
This place was pretty cool. A lot different then I was expecting. I would definitely come with my kids next time because it seems a lot more for children then I was thinking. The only thing that was a bit confusing was getting there because when I put it in the GPS it took me passed the place to a bad entrance. The only other negative thing was that they ran out of food so they only offered hotdogs... everyone was very friendly though and was a good time

Definitely a good vibe in here, people having fun and laughing, seem like there were a lot of families there. I would definitely give this place another try maybe during the week when it's not so busy or off peak season after Labor day.

I absolutely love this place and would reccomend anyone to check it out. They have so many outside adventures to choose from. Go check it out if you haven't already! You won't be disappointed. Thank you The Forge Lemont Quarries for hosting Everclear and providing an amazing event space and experience for us!
