A gem of a place for an inexpensive meal with service. Wide menu and good value. Chips will feed an army and fish is fresh. Adjoining park for kids with new playground furniture plus a netted tidal sand beach pool. Great day trip or overnight.Koala park is only 100 mtrs away. See Koalas in trees and Dolphins in the water most days. View all feedback.

What a terrific location to do something with this cafe. Boy oh boy, does it need it!The two of us had fish and potato scallops to eat at a table. Honestly, how do you wreck a piece of Hoki? I suspect the fish was cooked in batter, then frozen, then cooked again. The batter was a bit like spring roll pastry and hard to cut through with a knife. The fish had become dry and chewy and was discoloured (yellow) in parts. W... View all feedback.
This old fashioned mixed business is right on the foreshore and was very popular with locals on the day we were there. This is always a good indication. We had coffee and a muffin in their no-frills screened outdoor area which was more than adequate. The service was excellent, with happy and friendly staff. The price was also very reasonable.
My partner said it was the best burger he had ever tasted. The chips are great too. I had a cheese salad wrap which was delicious. Great spot overlooking the water. Would definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area.
Good food, fair price, simple service. Good option if you are on a budget. Sadly, they charge AUD 1 for a small portion on ketchup! Could be served as a complimentary sauce for fries.
We don't eat take away very often so when we do we are really looking forward to something delicious. I ordered Hoki, 3 prawns and chips. The fish was disgustingly flavourless and watery, and the batter was rock hard. The 3 prawns were the only thing edible as the chips were soggy. My partner wanted a burger with just egg and onion. This caused a long discussion between the service person, the cook and manager. Apparently this was an unusual request and they didn't know how to charge for it. Problem solve- just charge $7.50 the same as other burgers, which is unreasonable. However, when we got home we discovered that it was only egg and onion- no burger. How can you not get the burger part of the order? A horrible white bun as well. Not such a great experience. Overpriced, terrible food but with great water views.

We experienced this once before at Kippy's and thought we would give it another try---wish we hadn't!Sweep/hose the paving; clean the bistro blinds; change your food preparation and what a ripper of business you will have !!!
