Crane Cafe
Description
Nestled within a truck stop, Kran Cafe offers a mixed bag of dining experiences. Many patrons rave about its hearty breakfast burritos and affordable prices, often stopping by to indulge in home-style meals served with friendly hospitality. However, some recent visitors report long wait times and disappointing food quality, citing issues like undercooked dishes and inattentive service. Despite these challenges, the convenience of pickup orders and the cozy atmosphere continue to attract travelers. While loyal customers appreciate the cafe’s charm, a call for improved consistency and service remains vital to securing their return.

Whenever we travel north on i25, we always make sure to stop at Kran Cafe for their delicious breakfast burritos. We typically call in our order about 20-15 miles before arriving, and the burritos are always ready for us when we get there. A few months ago, we called in an order but unfortunately our truck broke down about 15 miles away. The chef at Kran Cafe kindly delivered our order to us, and the burritos were still delicious. Thank you, Kran Cafe, for always providing us with amazing food!
I used to enjoy the food at this restaurant, but my recent experience was disappointing. My Enchilada dinner consisted of two hard tortillas with an uncooked green chili, a small amount of cheese, and a dry, cold enchilada. The beans and rice were also underwhelming. My partner's chicken dish was equally unappetizing, with cold, fried, and dry chicken cubes. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal and do not plan on dining there again.
We were stranded at the truck stop and decided to have dinner and breakfast there the next morning. The food was fantastic and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. It was the perfect small, quiet spot to take a break. Great job to everyone!
I had no idea this place was here. no sign of any kind. great eating, clean, friendly service, simply no possibility for the traveling to find it. when they travel I-25 south of albuquerque, stop them and give it a try. they have to find it themselves. in a travel center without registration
