Bluestar Kitchen - Leland

I was excited to try this place first because I had no idea what to expect and secondly because Leland needs more restaurants. Pleasantly surprised from inside, I wasn't in the restaurant in front of Blue Star. The menu was interesting because you have chicken wings, chips and Queso, Tacos, Asian flare, Tuna tataki. I just don't know how to define this place. I ordered the Appetizer: guacamole, queso and pico de galo with chips. The guacamole was great and the queen was also good. Her version of a pico was...not what I expected it was cherry tomato cut in half. Not really for me. Korean BBQ Tacos. They were very good, I loved the bride, it was tender and tasteful. Kimchi on everything is a victory in my book. The cilantro and creamy sauce have really dropped the dish. My child has the Taco with Macn cheese. The Taco was nothing worth mentioning. The mac n cheese has a thumb up. It had broken Cheez in him. Finally for dessert we got the chocolate cream broth, which is probably the only reason why I would go out of my way to go back. Overall, it was great to have a supplement to the food scene in Leland.

In the room formerly occupied by Charlie Macgrooder 's, Blue Star is a wonderful little charm from the usual fast food scene in Leland. Friendly, quick service of people who make sure you are there. We eat there. Gourmet style tacos, their spin on a Cuban sandwich, and a cheeseburger and pommes. All three served quickly, hot and tasty. We will return for future meals. UPDATEN 04/24/2018 Unfortunately Blue Star has closed. Appears a permanent closing Due to unforeseen circumstances...

So excited to eat for a good place in Leland, that actually has some healthy (and very tasteful) options. The staff was friendly and owner thanked us for coming as we left. Will definitely go back!

Nice place, food wonderful, staff was great. Can't wait to go back.
