However, we were made to feel very welcome and served the most amazing fish soup and homemade fishcakes. We were in a group of 4 and everyone agreed they were exceptional

We were looking for a place with good fish soup chowder. We asked a local and they suggested we try Trollkraben. So glad we did. There were 2 young women working inside, cooking fish cakes on the flat top and serving customers from the food cases. We each order a bowl of the fish soup and a garlic fish cake. Both were excellent. For the 2 bowls of soup, 2 fish cakes and a soda was 285 Norwegian Krone or about $26.79 USD

If there would be one thing I'd change is... read more Famous for their fish cakes and fish soup, this cozy Cafe and Fish store is located on central on the Leirvik Harbour. If there would be one thing I'd change is the Bacalao as the only draw back, but with the luxurious menu they offer I'd recommend something else instead. This is a place to experience.
