Almost missed the small restaurant as it does not have restaurant name. We ordered “Frango simples” and “Frango Acompanhando” (with French fries, rice and salad). Very popular with locals. By the time we finished at around 1pm, there were many people standing waiting for tables.
Stopped there by chance (as we so it full of local people) and it definitely was a great choice. The place is a traditional churrasqueria that serves just bbq chicken, salad and rice (there is no menu... they just serve the same combo to all customers). I found the salad really good (very fresh ingredients) and the rice, ok. The star of the show (the chicken) was tender, perfectly cooked and juicy. Very good. However, we found it too salty (way beyond it should be). My 2 cents is that the sauce used to rub the chicken has too much salt. You know, eating too much salt one day it is fine... but locals that go often there should take care of it, as salt is really dangerous for people with high blood pressure. Anyway, the waitress was super nice and friendly. We paid for the whole meal 3 bears less than 20 euros... a bargain!
One of the best places in Fátima to eat homecooked roast chiken. Simple but very tastefull. A great tradicional portuguese experience.
Amazing place Highly recommended
