Leipzig is a great city for veggie lovers, full of restaurants and nice places dedicated to vegetarians and vegans. But Zest is by far the best. Sure, you'll fi... read more Leipzig is a great city for veggie lovers, full of restaurants and nice places dedicated to vegetarians and vegans. But Zest is by far the best. Sure, you'll find cheaper places, but the quality of the dishes is not even comparable to the others. First...of all, it potentially appeals to anybody, even non-vegetarians, with dishes that are constant on the menu like the famous soja steak, that is so tasty it is impossible not to love. Second, it has great variety, with great sandwiches for lunch, and regular changes in the menu once every two months. This guarantees that you'll be happy to go back to see what's new, and try new combinations that never failed to surprise me in many years. Great place, absolutely recommended.

The... read more OK, nowadays I'm a vegetarian and on my way to becoming vegan. But this was my favourite restaurant in Leipzig even when I was eating bacon and pork belly! The changing menu, the love for the produce, the beautiful plating, the subtle flavours... one easily...forgets that there are no animal products being served here.
