I am leaving a review because this cute little restaurant didn 't show up on Yelp when I typed in vegan , but they have good vegan options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. The food is good and the service is friendly, but it is a little pricey. Except to pay 3.80 for pommes/fries. It 's a bit small, but it 's intimate. I hope my English review is helpful, this is not a touristy place, but us vegans need to go into local spots for good vegan food. :
We had a great breakfast there on Thursday morning. We got the small vegan, the big vegan and some vegan pancakes. It was too much food for 2 people, but we ate everything, it was so delicious! The place is cosy and staff friendly.
Super beautiful location. whether to eat cake and coffee wrinkles, go to eat (the Merseburger recommends) or for a cozy glass wein....you always feel comfortable here.
I have been in Süß+Salzig several times and I really like what the menu offers (Flammkuchen, casserole...both omnivore and vegetarian/vegan options). The brunch instead is disappointing.. just a couple of cold meat choices, some average cheese, a lot of vegan options but not all of them particularly tasty or interesting. The bread is good but not spectacular, on the other hand the croissants are really nice. All in all was quite poor and not worth it. The space is nice and cozy and definitely worth it for a coffe break.
It is one of the spacious cafes which is ideal for working on your laptop, reading or coming with a small group of friends. Both the indoor and outdoor area pleasant for a long sit in. We had a lunch with vegan soup and casserole dishes, all were tasty. I think it is one of the nicest cafes in Plagwitz! Wine menu is also nice and the prices are fair.
