My wife and I sat down for a lovely dinner at Max Enk on a Saturday night in June, our last on our trip to Germany.We were sitting on the patio, we had order th... read more My wife and I sat down for a lovely dinner at Max Enk on a Saturday night in June, our last on our trip to Germany.We were sitting on the patio, we had order the calf's liver and the Leipziger allerlei, both of which were very well prepared and tasted excellent.Then the sky open up and a torrential downpour had all of the patrons standing huddled in the centre of the patio umbrellas trying not to get drenched.The restaurant staff emerged with umbrellas to get all of the diners into the main restaurant to continue our meals.I would eat here again any time.

I found the avant garde decor to be very distracting and almost unsettling - like I suddenly found myself in the movie Beetlejuice. It was not the most tranquil of places. The wine list was good and was probably the best part. Keep you money and spend it somewhere else. Leipzig has a lot more to offer.
