This is a place built with efficiency and energy conservation in mind, and it shows. My room was cozy and has the basic necessities, bathroom was nice and funct... read more This is a place built with efficiency and energy conservation in mind, and it shows. My room was cozy and has the basic necessities, bathroom was nice and functional with a hair dryer (didn’t need one but good to see, probably to ensure you use their low wattage dryer). The breakfast buffet runs 7-11am, a huge plus if you are dealing with jetlag. The dining room has a Sunroom that is perfect for bright and colorful breakfast pictures to start the day. Doors to the rooms are carded as well as the main entrance in the night; Not a guest? No entry! Checkout is simple, drop your key card in the box at reception. Staff are extremely polite and friendly, speak moderate to great English (if they don’t, they understand mostly), and have maps and suggestions to tourist attractions in the area. Given that this hotel is situated in the Zentrum of Leipzig, there is not enough time to see everything available in one week. Places to eat are abundant with at least 20 eateries, restaurants and fast food joints within 5mins walk. Places to drink are likewise plentiful in every direction where they have beer on tap for every taste. Lastly, the reception has a mini playground and book shelves full of story books in the reception to distract the little ones as you check in, check out, or passing throug. I would suggest more English language channels other than France24 English and CNN.
