We ordered from Lieferando. We've always been very satisfied, but this time everything was very bad. We had carpaccio and lasagna. The bread that came with the carpaccio had mold on one corner, and it also smelled bad and was old and dry. The lasagna consisted of only one layer of lasagna sheets; the other layers had apparently been replaced with small blobs of cheese (which tasted disgusting, slightly rancid), and overall, it was unfortunately very inedible this time. Diarrhea included. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back for food or ordering anything again.

Super delicious pizza, ready super quickly. The staff is friendly. The pizza isn't greasy, and the dough is great. Definitely the best pizza in the area!

I stepped into La Palermo with my wool coat still radiating January frost, the kind of cold that makes your teeth feel like porcelain veneers about to crack. The place tries very hard to be Italian. It wants to be authentic. It needs you to believe. Our waiter was Indian. Native. Polite, almost painfully so, with the kind of smile that comes from hospitality training rather than instinct. He told us he had learned to cook in Italy, and I knew instantly he was telling the truth. Not because of the food — we’ll get there — but because when I greeted him with buona notte he blinked, then carefully explained that this is what Italians say when they go to bed. Precision matters. You can’t fake that kind of cultural pedantry. The olive oil on the table had been refilled. Not replaced. Refilled. A translucent lie inside a cloudy glass bottle that has seen too many hands, too many crumbs, too many careless midnights. I clock these things. There was a little plant on the table. Plastic. A fake life-form. I flicked one of the leaves with my fingernail. No resistance. No soul. At the next table, a Ukrainian woman celebrated her birthday. They let her bring her own booze. I admired this. It suggested flexibility, mercy, a crack in the rigid architecture of German rule-following. The restaurant didn’t just tolerate joy — it outsourced it. The food was good. Not transcendent. Not a revelation. But satisfying for the price, like a well-cut suit bought on sale: you know you’re being reasonable, and you hate yourself slightly less for it. Outside it was freezing. Brutal. Leipzig in winter feels like a city that has turned on you personally. Inside, the waiter kept smiling, the olive oil kept pretending, the plastic plant kept existing, and somehow the evening worked. I would go again.

A very cozy little Italian restaurant on a street corner. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, and the food arrived quickly. It was delicious, although the portions could have been a bit larger, but the prices were quite reasonable. The atmosphere was inviting. We had reserved a table online, which was easy. The tiramisu is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
