Absolutely super authentic Chinese cuisine! For me the best China restaurant I've ever visited. We're definitely coming back. Here you can really eat like in China. Fantastic service and super fresh and delicious dishes. Tap View all feedback.
What Heino Löffler dislikes about Chinas Welt:
Good, average food, some real unusual and tasty starters. Pretty good service. A bit too expensive for the standard. Not so sure about the glutamate... and the choice of loud pop-music. View all feedback.
This place is my sis and her friends' favorite, so we went here for dinner when I visited Leipzig. The food was nice, some are salty but overall it's a great experience! We even had a crab here :-) And it's not expensive at all! Love it!
I was there 3 times already with friends for dinner. Their food are just simply the best. We always order stir-fried eggplant in chili paste, big fish in chili soup and duck. The rice is also refilled. The service is great. The price is a bit expensive but with this quality, I would go back there any time!
Leipzig's Asian restaurants aren't that great, by and large, since dishes are more often than not adapted to local tastes. At this restaurant however, they really do go the mile: while on the one hand the decor is elegant and suitable for Western diners, the food is really authentic. The shiu mai I had was delectable, where I tasted the pork, and all the different spices; and the ma po to fu arrived in a huge boat, tofu and pork mince floating on a rich bed of chilli oil, topped with scallions -- it is as good as any I have had in the best restaurants worldwide. The rice was plentiful, and the quantities were so huge that I had to have half my meal packed in a doggy bag. The meal was great value, with the main dish and shiu mai coming to no more than 15 E. However the spoiler -- as everywhere else in Leipzig -- is that drinking water doesn't come free, and I paid as much for a bottle of mineral water (5 E or so) as I did for the starter! But this is not unique to this restaurant, it's of course a Leipzig disease...Anyway the restaurant is excellent, especially given its location in a city that doesn't boast many authentic restaurants, and I will be back!
The food as always fantastic, not just eating for Germans but traditionally, even today more Chinese guests than Germans speak for the originality. Unfortunately, but also again overwhelmed waiters, both our delivery of drinks and the bill we had to get ourselves at the counter. That's why only 4 stars. Guys! Does it improve?
Food is not a culinary novelty. There are certainly interesting dishes, but some irritated arg. For example, some dishes seem to be drowned in oil that the expensive wolf bass is served in sweet and sour sauce (a.k.a. ketchup), etc. For this, the service is dedicated, friendly and courteous and the toilets are impeccable.
