I've been to Big Easy several times and it's one of my favorite restaurants. Although Leipzig has much to offer if it comes to restaurants, the Big Easy clearly... read more I've been to Big Easy several times and it's one of my favorite restaurants. Although Leipzig has much to offer if it comes to restaurants, the Big Easy clearly stands out here. On the menu there are some ordinary burgers and snacks, but what really matters here are the other dishes. These creations are sumptuously arranged, perfectly tasting - something to enjoy that you do not forget so quickly. Behind this is an incredible amount of work, for which it is also worth paying a little bit more. When eating out, it should be about getting a unique taste experience. Cooking is an art and you can taste it here! (My favorite dishes are the gumbo, the pork calypso and the chanterelle paste!) But what I love the most about the Big Easy are free live music shows every first Friday of the month. Usually it is gypsy jazz - adding on a really great atmosphere! Awesome.

If is is the real Cajun food I think I skip Cajun 'countries', food is like in Gambia. Coleslow was maybe the only one good here. And the waitresses were nice. But I judge here only the food and that's why only 2 stars. Many better tasting restaurants nearby eq Vietnamise. The food was like mixed Cajun/German. I personally won't come back.

The Gumbo was perfect, the Owner/Chef was really friendly and it was one of the most enjoyable restaurants in Leipzig, can't wait to be back!
