we were in leicester for the day to visit the king richard 111 visitor center and cathedrale. the caffe was located on the cathedrale and was light and airy with seating far away. we were for the choice with the many number of cakes on...offering, but on the mini victoria spice cake and coffee cakes we enjoyed very much. beautiful atmosphere and personal polite and cheerful. worth a visit. when we were in the opposite, we had broken in. the young lady behind the counter not just welcome and served drinks and cake on a tablet that had a lot of crumbs on no attempt to delete the tablet before it was reused. this is the question of hygiene standards. in fairness the cakes and drinks were very good as the sitting area and the intention View all feedback.
This charming small café is situated in a very convenient location for visitors to the Guildhall or Cathedral. They offer a variety of drinks, sandwiches, toasted paninis, baked goods, and cakes, making it a great spot for lunch or a quick snack. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to enjoy our visit without feeling rushed, and the large windows provided a great view for people-watching, especially during peak hours.
I absolutely loved the spacious and well-lit atmosphere of this restaurant. The arched roof, skylights, and large windows with views of the cathedral gardens make it a beautiful space. There are approximately 15 tables and two bar tables by the windows, which offer a cozy spot with direct heat. The service was fast and friendly, and the cheese I ordered was delicious. The soy latte was also excellent, and they have a variety of other sweet treats available. The restaurant is conveniently located between the cathedral, the guild hall, and the house of the Martins, with three entrances. There are restroom facilities but no wifi. Overall, a charming and cozy spot to dine and enjoy the view.
I would recommend this restaurant as part of the B for Lodge. The breakfast was nice and the service was good.
A nice little caffe in the heart of the domain sector. can be busy around the lunchtime, but they can always order food to take away. they always have a good choice of cakes and sandwiches, and offer good for gluten free.
Quite spacious and pleasant cafe adjoined to the Guildhall alongside Leicester Cathedral. Not a huge menu but enough options for a lunchtime snack (sandwiches, paninis, jacket spuds etc. with a few variable things on the specials board e.g. chicken mushroom pie at reasonable prices (sandwiches £4 Paninis £4.95 . I had a BLT granary sandwich and Mocha today which were very nice. Friendly, efficient service too.
