What kelseymg doesn't like about Wagamamas:
We was looking forward to a Wagamamas we haven’t had one before. Seriously disappointing. Will never return my broth was pure water with a kick. My wifes was lukewarm . Overall service and food both poor would never come again. I have a fish allergy my wife received her food a good 4+ minutes before me . The point was to eat together. View all feedback.
Excellent service this evening by Nicolas in the Leicester branch. He has excellent customer service and made the visit even more enjoyable. As always, delicious food.
I have been to Wagamamas in the UK and Australia many times, so I was thrilled to find Wagamamas in Leicester, UK, very close to where I was staying. I chose to eat early, because I know how busy this restaurant usually is. As soon as my eyes lit upon the photo of the Chicken Raisukaree I was hooked. From the first mouthful, it certainly lived up to its name. It was absolutely delicious! It was so delicious that I had to go back for more during my two week stay. Every meal in Wagamamas is absolutely delicious.
Excellent food and great service from all the team as usual. We have been on numerous occasions and have been served by Charmaine a few times. A lovely chatty young woman who always serves with a smile. Love coming here
This restaurant was not good at all. When we arrived, we were seated quickly even though the restaurant did not seem too busy. We expected to be served within 5 minutes, as it usually happens in other Wagamama locations we have been to. However, we ended up waiting for 30 minutes while large groups of people around us had already ordered, received their drinks, and mains. After 40 minutes, we had to ask our server, Micheal, if he was going to serve us. He apologized and said he would be with us in 2 minutes, but he didn't show up until 5 minutes later, after other customers had paid and left. He then admitted that he should have served someone else before us, but only came over because we flagged him down. We finally placed our order and complained about the service. In response, Micheal offered us a slice of cake, which we declined as we had a train to catch. We also asked for our drinks to be taken off the bill, to which he replied that he would see about it. Our mains arrived promptly, but my side dish never did. After waiting for 20 minutes after our mains were served, we had to complain again and ask if we could cancel the side dish. It turned out that the kitchen had simply forgotten our order. The manager tried to make things right by giving us the side dish for free and taking the drinks off the bill. Our meal was then packed in a takeout box for us to leave. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the service and the experience. The restaurant was only 50% full, but the staff seemed lazy and made excuses for their slow service. We will not be returning to this restaurant. (See photo for the supposedly 'busy' restaurant, while the staff had time to gossip).
We have eaten at various Wagamama locations on numerous occasions. We usually start with squid, which is always well cooked and delicious. Last night the squid was lovely, as per usual. We then had Firecracker Chicken, another of our ‘go to’ favourites from the Wagamama...
