this is by far my favorite distance for Indian foods so far. a case is that they do not always supply what they order, what happened the half of the time, but eating is absolutely delicious and prices very good. fast delivery is common and they always appear friendly on the phone. the website is also easy to use. also they have an app to order. this is the best place to go in leicester also for a really delicious Indian curry. I didn't even have a bad experience here, eating is always amazing and the waiters are very helpful. View all feedback.

To be honest, we've been ordering shamim for a few years and I can say hand on heart, they're really the best Indian takeaway we've ever had. each dish has its own taste and its delivery service is impeccable. Although they have made mistakes in the past with our order, but what makes them 5* is how they can correct with any complaints they offer, immediately with many apologies and compensations if necessary (after all we are all human right?) thank you, shamim! you are our favorite!
I have been ordering from Shamim's Balti for years, and while the food always arrived lukewarm, I continued to order from them because I enjoyed the food. On New Year's Eve, I ordered again despite knowing they would be busy. After being given an hour wait time, I called an hour and a half later when the food had still not arrived. I was told that the food must be on its way because there was no ticket in the kitchen. Another 25 minutes passed (2 hours from ordering) and the food still hadn't arrived, so I called again and was told the food was on the way. Half an hour later, we tried calling again, but there was no answer for about 15 minutes. We decided to order and collect from somewhere else. The person on the phone was rude on each call, interrupting us and not listening. He was also speaking to others and making threats. Three hours after ordering, we finally got through and canceled the order, receiving no apology. I won't be ordering from here again. While I understand they were busy, some customer service would have been appreciated, especially as a loyal customer.
I ordered a meal for 2 told I wait an hour which was ok hour half later I rang said on way said gave me extra popidoms when the takeaway arrived was charged extra 3 pounds I rang they told me a delivery charge because of covid and said I was not told this when I rang but on menus it’s free delivery I was told to late nothing can be done when I said that is terrible the person hang up on me rang back spoke to manager he apologised I said your employee has know manners talking to customers like that won’t be going back there again disgusting
I have had a takeawy from here previously and it was fine so decided to take my wife and son. The food was just tasteless bland and generic, Every indian dish available in the Aldi we could see opposite would have had more taste. The salted lassi was extremely salty and the bill was incorrect. The quality is just not acceptable in a place like Leicester.
