Melton Hot Potato Shop - Leicester

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I have always enjoyed hot potato and chip butties since the late 1980s and early 1990s. Those were the good old days when we were single and carefree. I tried them again in 2023, and they are just as good as ever, even better. It's a shame that there is no seating inside the restaurant.

This restaurant has more than just hot potatoes! They have added new menu items, like a doner-style meat-free dish with chips and sauces. It was delicious and filling, keeping me satisfied for hours. The burgers are also amazing! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We decided to try out the Good To Go app, expecting to receive leftovers or something basic. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, the selection was great, and the taste was excellent. The staff were all wonderful as well. We are so happy we chose to dine here and purchase some delicious food. We would have posted about it on social media, but we ended up eating everything before we could snap a picture! Overall, a great experience. Thank you!

If you know The Hot Potato shop then these guys have taken it notch further.. The service is fantastic and the food is even better. Well recommended, best to order in advance as it gets very busy during the lunch hour.

Ordered via phone very quick and efficient. The food was ready to collect with 15 minutes freshly made and piping hot. We ordered Chilli chips and a soya burger. i must say the Soya burger was one of the best ones I have tried so far. Staff were brilliant friendly and smiley.
