Went to this place hoping it will be good, When I got to the restaurant I was a bit surprised that it’s in a basement. But once I entered I was impressed with the restaurant and the food was perfect. View all feedback.
What Derbyanalyst doesn't like about Lahori Tawa:
The last time I dined at this restaurant, the food was excellent. However, on this occasion, I was disappointed. The rice was partially burnt and the meat lacked spice. Two other families left half of their meals and departed. I felt sorry for the young waiter who was overwhelmed trying to serve all the tables alone. View all feedback.
Even though it was not our first choice, my family and I decided to visit Lahori Tawa as part of the "Eat Out To Help Out" scheme. Luckily, we arrived at 6pm and did not have to wait in line. We were immediately seated as a group of five. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. Due to the hot weather and smaller appetites, we only ordered the Sizzler Tawa for 3 with two plain naans. While we waited for our food to be prepared, we were served drinks and complimentary poppadoms. The food arrived hot and fresh. The chicken was juicy, tender, and had a tasty BBQ flavor. It was on the milder side, perfect for those who prefer less spicy food. After our meal, we were surprised to be offered complimentary kheer, which we took home as we were too full to eat it then. The restaurant was clean and hygienic, but the interior may not be appealing to those looking for a more upscale dining experience. Accessibility may be an issue for wheelchair or pram users, as the dining area is located in a basement accessible only by a flight of stairs from the main entrance. With the "Eat Out To Help Out" discount, our bill came to £24, a great value. Overall, Lahori Tawa was worth a visit and a better option than cooking at home during the current heatwave.

The food at this restaurant was delicious, but the service was lacking. The waitstaff seemed unprofessional, rude, and disinterested. When I asked about a dish on the menu, I was met with a lack of knowledge and a dismissive response.
A very good concept and a real hit and miss. I’ve been here once and it was great. The second time it was more or less stale microwave food. If it’s cooked fresh no doubt it works and it tastes great. But when it’s the stale stuff it’s literally nasty.
