The Halwa Poori for Sunday morning breakfast was delicious, not too greasy, and served in generous portions. The establishment has more of a cafe atmosphere than a traditional restaurant, making it a great spot for breakfast. While the breakfast menu is somewhat limited, the place seems to be quite popular. What johnfmayberry doesn't like about Asli Zaiqa:
It has been several years since my last visit to this restaurant. I do not plan on returning. The food was greasy, the noodles were thin, and the custard served with cake had very little cake in it. View all feedback.
Went for the buffet. but the food all tasted the same, it was too oily, the place is not managed well. Buffet food needs to taste different and warm, if the food is not heated well then it becomes cold and the oil starts to float on top of the dishes.
At first this buffet restaurant looks appealing and professional. What a mistake that was. This was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. Immediately, I was forced to sit at the front of the restaurant despite spaces being available. Furthermore, the manager decided to insult my brother having never met him this was unacceptable. Not professional in any shape or form. Moving on we had tried the buffet. The chicken was raw with pink skin, clearly had not been cooked properly, and the lamb from the Biryani was extremely over cooked as if it was a piece of coal. We had raised this to the manager to get this replaced fresh and his response was the following “ don’t tell me how to run my business” after paying the bill I will never set foot in this door again. Restaurants are run on customer service, quality food, and a great atmosphere the opposite of what was present at this buffet. Avoid at all costs!
We love coming because the food tastes home made. It’s the only restaurant my husband will go to. My grandchildren love it. If there are things not out you only have to ask. It’s a very peaceful and calm place.
I've been past this place many times and also seen it on the HMC website, however this was the 1st time we came here. We received a warm response as soon as we entered. Upon asking for a private table(purdah) they sorted one out within 5 minutes. It gave us an opportunity to look at what food they had to offer. I noticed that all customers looked happy which gave us encouragement. It is a Buffet restaurant. It was priced at £7.99 per person. The quality and choice of food on offer made this Value for Money. There wasn't anything elaborate but they made simple traditional food Very Well. Food was hot and cooked well. The interior was all nice and clean ideal for families and small groups. There is a small selection of desserts. I was happy with my experience and would definitely return.
When I came here the food was fresh and looked delicious. The place also looks amazing and they've really done a good job in its new decorations compared to how it was in the past. I'd recommend it for families and parties, plus it's really good value for your money as you can have unlimited amounts of food and desserts.
