Almeida - Leicester

Amazing coffee. that is all they need to know about this place that they feed and make drinks many others, and they have a huge menu that I did not expect when I went. I only had the coffee from here and also bought some really nice cake to take home with me. the personal is friendly and knows what it does. I have seen some of the commentary to hear and I do not do justice to this place. if they want a good cup coffee that is not mainstream it is worth a visit, I had not expected much, but was very glad that I went for a drink here again when in the city.

Brilliant coffee, and the upstairs seating provides an oasis of calm among the hubbub of the city.

On a sunny afternoon, the outdoor seating area is bathed in sunlight, making it the perfect spot to relax while enjoying views of the cathedral. This lovely café serves as a wonderful place to pause, especially before the historical Greyfriars area of Leicester undergoes its transformation (and don't forget, just below the cathedral lies the historic Leicester Guildhall).

My absolute favorite café in Leicester, which also features my favorite ice cream shop, is simply wonderful. I love the atmosphere and vibe here. The owners are lovely people who make you feel right at home. My go-to dishes include the fantastic sardines on toast (I like mine with tomatoes), and I often enjoy a roasted bagel paired with minestrone soup, which is a real favorite of mine. We can’t forget the hot chocolate and porridge on these chilly winter mornings! And of course, the coffee is excellent. It's a great independent café in the historic area of Leicester.
