Been here many times, it is usually close to a perfect experience. Only real complaint is the same every time: it is really noisy in the restaurant. It is also a bit pricey, but that describes just about any quality restaurant these days. Will no doubt be visiting again in the future! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tsunami Restaurant Sushi Bar Traverse Mountain:
Good was fine probably been at least a year since we were there It wasn't busy yet took 30 mins just to get a glass of water Server never touched the table apart from taking order Delivering food and paying the bill Can't say we'd come back View all feedback.
Tsunami is our favorite restaurant! They have a fun menu and everything is good! They are always consistent in their delivery. We love the Jenny roll, Fire Breathing Dragon, Skewer Trio, gyoza, and sunshine roll.
The last two times we've visited the service and food haven't been great. We gave it another shot last night and it was the same as the last visit. The four of us got dinner plates and also ordered sushi. All of our food was cold when arrived to our table chicken, rice, veggies everything. Our drinks (water and soda) were never filled in the 90 mins we were there. We used to love coming here but our last two experiences were not great.
This was our first time to Tsunami. We are from Seattle and eating seafood in the desert had me a little nervous- SO YUMMY AND FRESH! We Would eat here again and again and again!!! Our server Graham was phenomenal!! He described all of the different specials, the main menu- which were both quite extensive. It was all Amazing! Quick too!
Jonathan was the best. Gave me great recommendations for food and it was amazing.
Service was amazing. Thank you for that. Quite honestly though, this place feels Californicated; it's not authentic Japanese food in the least. Many of the rolls have so many ingredients to them, the protein isn't the star of the show and all the competing flavors makes me wonder what exactly is the chef trying to accomplish here?
