Lightfoot - Leesburg
Lightfoot
Description
Lightfoot offers an impressive dining experience, blending elevated American cuisine with French influences in a beautifully remodeled former bank. The ambiance is grand yet welcoming, making it an ideal setting for celebrations and special occasions. Diners rave about the delightful Virginia ham biscuits and well-prepared main courses, although some dishes may lack seasoning. While service can be attentive, guests have noted occasional delays, especially during busy periods, leading to mixed reviews on wait times and food quality. Overall, Lightfoot remains a charming option worth exploring, particularly for a leisurely brunch or festive dinner in a distinctive atmosphere.

I thought the food was delicious. My friend ordered a burger and wasn’t impressed, mentioning that it lacked seasoning. I guess it really depends on what you choose to order.
At Lightfoot, you can enjoy elevated American cuisine with a touch of French influence. Located in a former bank building, the ambiance is impressive and somewhat grand, yet the staff makes you feel welcomed and at home. This seems like an ideal spot for special celebrations, although we visited for a casual Sunday dinner. We kicked off our meal with the Virginia ham biscuits, which were absolutely delightful—savory, tender, and simply delicious. Each course that followed only improved upon the last, with everything prepared to perfection.
We had a fantastic brunch! The cheddar biscuits were amazing, and there was a wide variety of brunch options to choose from. I tried the smoked trout mousse on a bagel, and it was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere of the old bank is stunning. The service was impeccable, thanks to our wonderful servers, Lisa and Cameron.
My wife and I decided to try the Lightfoot restaurant for the first time on our 16th wedding anniversary. We found it in a google search for fine dining in Northern Virginia and then one of our co-workers vouched for the restaurant. At the restaurant,we had to park at one of the free public parking areas in the rain less than half a mile away, but we didn't have a problem withthat since we had an umbrella. We were greeted by a manager (we presume he was a manager since he was seen everywhere in therestaurant after he sat us down). The manager was personable with us as he sat us down and before he walked away from our table. He even came back by to check on us 2 more times before we left. We were serviced by the bartender who provided respectfulcustomer service. The restaurant even gave us complimentary champagne (2 glasses) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Weordered appetizers (deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes with shrimp) and then our main entrees (Braised pork, shrimp and gritsand organic buttermilk fried chicken). Then we shared a big ice cream sundae (they were out of the mint chocolate chip one, butwe still enjoyed the regular ice cream sundae). The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars was because my wife unfortunately did notenjoy her appetizer (fried green tomatoes with shrimp or her braised pork, shrimp and grits entree). Other than that, theexperience was great at the Lightfoot restaurant from the greeting, the ambiance, the food and customer service.
Amazing and delicious. The menu is always changing and every time it 's awesome. They have a great special selection which I highly recommend you try. The staff is also really attentive. There is parking right behind the rest so you don 't have totravel far. The one complaint is the wine selection needs a little work
