First time to eat here today. Food was delicious. Nothing like homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, butter beans, rutabaga, turnip greens and fried green tomatoes.Choice of fried or baked chicken and liver and onions.Glad I found on Yelp!!

I stopped by a couple weeks ago to grab a quick to go plate. Used to eat here all the time under old management when I worked for a local office and always enjoyed it.I asked for a to-go plate and proceeded to make my selections at the hot island. I chose 1 fried chicken breast (it average size), 1 serving of butter beans, 1 serving of squash casserole, 1 serving of chicken rice, 2 slices of lemon cake (1 for now 1 for later) and a drink. Nothing was overloaded in the plate. The girl at counter put it on the scale and rang up the transaction and it came to a total of 28.31!!! I don’t recall it ever being this amount under old management and the food was exactly the same in quality. I should have left the plate setting there and declined the transaction, but I didn’t want to cause a scene and paid for this “Gold” plate.I was told by cashier that a Ms (I’m omitting the name) now owns this place and I’m not sure if this was a mistake in price or the new prices. But be aware you can eat other places in Leesburg GA much cheaper than 28.31 for a carry out 1 meal at this place.

I think they are too high for type food on buffet. No type of desert unless you got cake and paid extra. The meats were hamburgers with gravey and fried chicken. The food was very good but I just felt like they were high for no bigger buffet. They are convenient for people living in Leesburg and the food they serve is tasty.
