Met my son and grands half way and the bartender was wonderfully friendly and helpful with our ordering. Food and flight were great. Atmosphere is fun in the old mill. Will have to do this again. Unfortunately, the food was very bland—really bland. Moreover, within just 15 minutes of leaving, I began to experience symptoms of an allergic reaction. I'm not sure if it was due to cross-contamination or if the bartender simply wasn't aware of the ingredients, but that's quite concerning. Food allergies are a serious matter, especially when they can lead to anaphylaxis.

We had such a nice time! They have kept the old feel of what the mill looked like with a fun twist! Food was amazing! Gin basil lemonade was amazing!!

We went out to eat for the first time In ages. Hopelore advertised having smoked Ruben on st Patrick day so we came here. Place was busy but we decided to stay and order food. 45 minutes later I asked one of the helpers about our food. He replies that they were swamped. An hour and a half later I flagged down another person who then apologized and got our food ready to carry out. He also didn't charge us for the food. I like their beers, but if you are going to be a restaurant then you need to get better wait staff and follow up with your customers.
The beer and food here are outstanding, all set in a fascinating building. The staff is friendly, and I must say, the food is truly amazing. I highly recommend this establishment. The smoked salmon dip was far superior to anything I've had in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
