The best fish and chips around! However, they haven't had their dimming sims for a few weeks, which is quite frustrating since their food is so wonderful. Overall, I would rate the food: 5/5 and the service: 5/5. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Holy Mackerel:
I understand they are just one fish and chip shop, but they should take pride in their work and maintain professionalism—this experience was far from satisfactory. If I could give zero stars, I would. I recommend you go to South Fish and Chips instead; you won’t regret it. I feel sorry for the owner. View all feedback.
Great fishing and chips here, two youngs running the joint, delivered a great friendly service. servier size was excellent, chips perfectly boiled and salted. fish was delicious and so were the inkfish rings.
The dame is always so sweet and compliments my name! with distance the best chips in the opposite, always so crispy and perfectly salted! I always get extra potato cake that I am always surprised and grateful for shouting to the woman who works there that still buy me chips 5 minutes after closing it is the sweetest! always my go-to chips and kartoffel cake
Thought I would try this shop out again as Ive not been there for about a year it was a Friday night, place was busy the staff all looked stressed, and disorganized. Orders were not being completed it seemed, but mine was as promised. Once I unwrapped it a home only live 8 mins away batter peeled off the fish everything was soggy not crisp. Such a straightforward dish to cook but they just haven't got it, afraid I wont return.
Really disappointed. I should have walked out when the lady before me mentioned that her order this time had better be correct and hot. Usually fish and chips are screaming hot in the paper when carrying to the car..... Not this time. $36.00 later half of the food went in the bin. Won't be going back. I don't think the 2 guys (late teens) new what they were doing. BTW.... Since when have hairnets no longer been a requirement in the food industry? Definitely would not recommend.
Batter way too thin. Fish fell apart when we picked it up making it impossible to eat unless you used a spoon. Ain't no one wanna eat fish with a spoon :
